Merciful God, You are great in compassion and Your tenderness for us is without measure. We ask You to give us today our daily bread, and also provide for the needs of all of Your hungry children around the world. Through Christ Your Son and Our Lord. Amen.

Weekly Menu

.
I'm a little late getting my menu together, but for good reason. Yesterday we crossed a project off our list that has been waiting for a while. We painted the boys' bedroom. It's such a wonderful feeling to paint over all those scratches and nicks -- like vacuuming a really dirty floor -- very satisfying. Their walls have been patched for weeks, since before my blood clots got worse, so I was glad to finally get it done.

Today is a day of rest, and hopefully this week will just
be quiet so we can celebrate some great feast days.

Sunday
Lunch: Pancakes, sausage
Dinner: Pork Scaloppine, mashed potatoes, buttered peas

Monday -- Feast of St. Leo the Great
Lunch: doctor's appointments -- grab some Wendy's chili in between
Dinner: Pork Chop Suey, Lion Cupcakes (this cake, this decoration)

Tuesday -- Feast of St. Martin of Tours
Lunch: egg salad sandwiches
Dinner: Grilled burgers, oven fries, fruit, French Gaufrettes

Wednesday -- Feast of St. Josaphat
Lunch: soup
Dinner: Cabbage Rolls in the Crock Pot, mashed potatoes, Polish Sugar Cookies

Thursday -- Feast of St. Frances Cabrini
Lunch: pancakes
Dinner:
Lidia's Italian Chicken and Potatoes, buttered peas

Friday
Lunch: poached eggs and toast
Dinner: Clam Chowder, crusty bread

* Tried and true
* new to me

Every time I see the crusty bread recipe it makes me lament the fact that I don't have the appropriate pot!!! Maybe I can put it on my Christmas list...
