We are wrapping up this week with a family cookout on Saturday and beginning the next week with a family cookout on Sunday -- must be summer.
My mom is doing dinner on Saturday -- my house is the venue. We'll have some grilled sausage sandwiches, and some typical summer sides. Again on Sunday our house is the scene and Doug's mom and dad are bringing steaks and sides. All I have to do is clean up before and after. Sounds like a deal.
Next week is Doug's first week at his new job, so we'll try to make things simple and homey in the evenings. I'll treat him like a new baby this week and try not to overstimulate him -- I know his days will be filled with meetings from dawn to dusk.
