Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola
On this feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola, I want to post some links that I've come across -- with recipes for and by the Jesuits. Never have I come across a religious group that has such a connection to food. I, personally, don't know why they have such a connection to food, maybe it's just coincidence. If anyone knows the reason, please educate me in the combox.
This promising link is The Jesuit Gourmet, which, although the authors are not identified as such, appears to be written by a group of Jesuits, as the authors look to be contributing authors of other Jesuit blogs.
This link is Jesuit Recipes, a collaborative blog by the Society of Mothers of Members of the Society of Jesus with easy-to-follow recipes either made by or (with our Mommies involved) FOR Jesuits!
And this link is a page of recipes by Jesuits and their caretakers, inspired by Brother Rick Curry, SJ, author of The Secrets of Jesuit Breadmaking and The Secrets of Jesuit Soupmaking.
