Hi,

I'm new to your blog (and I'm loving it, BTW!). I live in New Zealand and have no idea what GRITS are?

Love to find out!

Cheers< Wilm

Hi Wilm,
Thanks for stopping by.

Grits are ground corn -- more coarse than corn meal. You cook them by boiling them in water -- much like Cream of Wheat (farina). They are generally considered a Southern food in the US, but my gang loves them -- probably because their mama is a Southerner at heart. If you can get your hands on some, do try them. The recipe that is linked in my menu is really good -- true comfort food for us.

Take care and stop by again,
Barbara
