Merciful God, You are great in compassion and Your tenderness for us is without measure. We ask You to give us today our daily bread, and also provide for the needs of all of Your hungry children around the world. Through Christ Your Son and Our Lord. Amen.

Weekly Menu

.

Next week is another big feast week on the Catholic liturgical calendar. We did a pretty good job celebrating with our meals this past week, but with Thanksgiving approaching quickly, the meals are being simplified this week. I'm not committing to any celebrations, but will try my best to manage a few treats here and there. I'll let you know if anything really great turns up at our house.

Saturday
Lunch: Skyline Chili
Dinner: Pizza -- I'm trying some deep dish pizza this week, and maybe a thin crust Basil Pesto Pizza

Sunday -- Feast of St. Margaret of Scotland
Lunch: Oatmeal Raisin Scones
, Ham and Potato Omelet
Dinner: We are being treated to Carrabba's for Doug's birthday -- yum

Monday -- Feast of St. Elizabeth of Hungary
Lunch: Corn Dog Muffins
Dinner: BBQ Beef sandwiches (leftovers in the freezer), cole slaw, baked potatoes, Hungarian Crown Cake
(glaze and decorate with gumdrop "jewels")

Tuesday
Lunch: Macaroni and Cheese
Dinner: Oven Reubens, minestrone soup (from a can -- gasp!)

Wednesday
Lunch: Ham sandwiches
Dinner:
Onion Soup with Cheese Toasts

Thursday -- Daddy's Birthday

, Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Scallions, Salad, Garlic Bread, Molten Chocolate Cakes
