This week just flew by didn't it? We had some good dinners and I plan to review a few of the new recipes we tried. They were voted winners by all family members and will definitely show up on the menu again.
This weekend will be a little more relaxing than last weekend (last weekend was nuts!). We'll have our usual pizza dinner on Saturday and Doug's father's birthday celebration is Sunday -- we'll go to his parent's house and I'm taking that Chocolate Lover's Birthday Cake. The week is a little busy for Doug -- he has some dinner work commitments so the kids and I will take it easy on those nights.
On Monday we will celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, so even though we're having birthday cake on Sunday, we'll have it again on Monday (such a treat!). Since Sunday's cake is rich and chocolaty, Monday's cake will be light and not chocolate. It's one of my favorite cakes -- simple flavors, but delicious!

I truly love reading your weekly menus! They are so inspiring.
I'm glad I inspire you, Anne, because I hardly inspire myself!:o)
This week, one kid asked for the spicy fish and the BBQ chicken is an easy dish we all love, but I haven't made in a while. I'll post the recipe later this week. I think my kids could eat something BBQd every night!
