Weekly Menu
My goal this week is the same as last week's, to have dinner prep finished when my high schoolers get home from school around 4:30. So, most of our dinners this week are crock pot suppers or dinners I can have ready to slip in the oven at the necessary time.
Monday
Lunch: Chicken wraps
(packers: Ham and Swiss sandwich, carrot sticks and dip, chips)
Dinner: Cheeseburger Rolls, baked potatoes, buttered corn, ice cream sundaes
Tuesday
Lunch: Hanky Pankies
(packers: Ham and Swiss sandwich, yogurt, cookies)
Dinner: Crock Pot Swiss Steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, Custard Pie
Wednesday
Lunch: Macaroni and cheese with chopped ham
(packers: Turkey and cheese sandwich, carrot sticks, chips)
Dinner: Egg and Sausage Casserole, fruit, muffins
Thursday
Lunch: Split pea soup, Pringles
(packers: Turkey and cheese sandwich, yogurt, cookies)
Dinner: Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast, buttered noodles, applesauce, cole slaw, tapioca pudding
Friday -- Feast of St. Wenceslaus
Lunch: Tomato soup and goldfish
(packers: PB&J, chips, candy bar)
Dinner: Tuna Noodle Casserole, peas and carrots, Czech Poppy Seed Cake
Saturday
Lunch: Skyline Chili
Dinner: Pizza, Peppermint Pattie Brownies
Sunday
Lunch: Sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs
Dinner: Burgers on the grill, Saturday Night Vidalia Onions, Potato Skins, fried corn

That pork roast recipe looks really good! I might try that this week instead of the method I was going to use.

We don't cook pork roast often, but this sounds like an easy, indoor and off-the-smoker way to do it. That Czech poppy seed cake sounds yummy too!
I've not tried that recipe for pork roast before, but the thing I love best about Allrecipes.com is the reviews. In the case of that pork roast -- 296 people gave it an average review of 4 and a half stars. Seems you can't go wrong with that kind of review. But I'll let you know what I think.
Those darned kids - you have to have dinner ready and be free to help with homework by 4:30, and three nights a week I have to have dinner ready after football practice ends at some random time between 7:30 and 8:00.
I wouldn't trade them for anything, though.....
P.S. No chance my kids would eat the apple bread cake either, but my dad will love it, and he's definitely going to get some!
