Merciful God, You are great in compassion and Your tenderness for us is without measure. We ask You to give us today our daily bread, and also provide for the needs of all of Your hungry children around the world. Through Christ Your Son and Our Lord. Amen.

A Feast for St. Teresa

Over at Matilda's place, a feast is in the works -- a feast for the Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. She has some lovely food planned to celebrate the Feast Day tomorrow and while we'd love to try that Walnut Cake and Banana Bread she has baking, the allergies in our home prevent the feasting on those foods. I am going to prepare some Indian Sweet Bread, though, and pick up some Chai, as Matilda suggests.

I firmly believe that feasting for the Feast Day is a fabulous way to teach children about the saints -- and certainly something they will remember long after the details of the stories fade.

Mmmmmmmm... chai! Love it! (As long as it isn't too peppery.)
