Weekly Menu

.
The range arrived. At 5:35 p.m. I was a little bit annoyed that it arrived so late while I was trying to make sure we had a dinner, but all was good. The delivery men unhooked the old one and scooted in the new one in just a few minutes. They noticed a little dent (actually it's a dent from the inside out -- very strange) and asked if we would rather order a new one or get a discount. Sears gave us $100 off, so we'll keep the little dent. I don't think it will bother me, it really is very little.

As soon as they left I started the Peas and Bacon on my new stove and it's really very lovely. It feels like a high-end stove, for a not-so-high-end price. The burners are super-duper hot, and I have a feeling that the microwave above it is going to need to be replaced sooner than later. It has always been a little too close to the stove, and now it feels really close -- I don't want to melt it!

I think cooking this w
eek will be extra fun, so I'm adding a few new dishes I've wanted to try to our menu.
